Real Bride Kate in Custom Kate McDonald

 

If there was a way to wrap up a wedding and put it in your pocket so that you could have it forever, it may just be our real bride Kate and her bohemian Aspen wedding captured beautifully by Olivia Rae James! What a treat this was to see featured on Snippet & Ink and of course, it just makes it all the sweeter knowing what a beautiful person Kate was both inside and out.

Customizing any bridal gown is a process, but when you have someone who was as fun and easy to work with like Kate, the experience is nothing short of wonderful. From the material to the lace, to have a low back with illusion lace details, we put together a dress not only unique, but unique to the bride as well. Kate’s dress became the inspiration for our Brooklyn gown which is part of the Fall 2016 collection.

Isn’t she the sweetest?! Our brides are seriously amazing!

 

 

How amazing to come out of a navajo tent before walking down the aisle. Quite the entrance and one we have not seen before. Kate and her husband, Benj, were inspired by the Wilderness Music Festival and wanted it to feel very much like a celebration. We are even in awe of these amazing flags (top picture) that are actually used in the Glastonbury Festival (close to where Benj is from!)

Gold Leaf Event Design created a gorgeous landscape of details that we are pretty obsessed with! And not to mention, the hills and actual landscape of this Aspen ranch didn’t hurt either! The floral design by Carolyn’s Flowers really seemed to organically blossom in the design of the wedding, fitting into the details with ease and just pure gorgeousness! We love this rustic altar set up, and appreciate how it feels like it had always been there, not just placed in the middle of a field.

The tablescape from Gold Leaf Event Design, to us, seemed like a bohemian fairylike dream! From the glasses, to the dinnerware, and all of the beautiful and lush greenery, we are in heaven! We adore the handwritten stationery from 42 Pressed, and all of the furniture from Premier Rentals fit together like a dream, maintaining that rustic Colorado charm.
