Custom Kate McDonald Bridal Gown On Real Bride Arden
Our real bride Arden in her custom Kate McDonald Bridal gown was a vision on her wedding day! With gorgeous photography by Ashley Seawell, every moment was captured and treasured. Arden’s gown is very special. With elements taken from a couple of our staples like our Stanwyck and McCants gowns, a bride’s dream dress came together beautifully. And quite literally. Arden’s gown is two in one!
Wanting that gorgeous and classic ballgown look, and also wanting to have something more fitted and easy to move around in, Arden loved the idea of putting both of these desires to work. In the pictures below, you will see her custom Kate McDonald Bridal gown as a lovely illusion lace fitted bodice with silk shantung skirt with a wrapped bow. And at the bottom, you will see that Arden simply slipped off the skirt to have her second look of a fitted little lace shortie.
We love the scalloped edges of lace on her shoulders dipping back into a low and graceful V. The silk shantung wrapped bow was a sweet addition to the classic vibe of the gown. But with the removable skirt, the little lace shortie underneath made for an easy transition from ceremony to reception and a bridal style we adore.
It was truly a pleasure to work with Arden to make this custom gown, and we are so lucky to have brides so lovely to work with. Please see so many more details of Arden and Jordan’s wedding on Ashley Seawell’s blog. Arden’s beautiful make up and hair was done by Mikel Rumsey. Venue was the Grace Episcopal Church in Charleston.
